Admissions
Buttercup Barn and Oak Tree are privately run nurseries offering places for children from 6 months to five years. The settings are open between 7.30am - 6pm, Monday to Friday, 52 weeks of the year excluding public holidays.
Enquiries
On Enquiry, an introductory visit will be arranged. This will enable parents to meet staff and explore the surroundings of the nursery. Management will inform parents on all aspects of the nursery & will answer any questions parents may have.
Nursey places are subject to availability, a waiting list system will operate if necessary.
Registration
On booking your child into nursery you will be asked to complete a registration document and a terms and conditions Parental contract. There will be a non-refundable fee of £75.00 to cover all administration costs and reserve the place.
Each child will be allocated a key member of staff; selected by your child as the person they have formed a particular comforting attachment to. The key person is responsible for your child's welfare, they and other staff will communicate with you on a daily basis.
Every child is treated with love, respect and dignity and assisted to settle gently into the new environment, particularly focusing on enhancing their confidence. The settling in process usually takes a few weeks with each child usually feeling at home after this period.
Funding
Children in receipt of one of the following types of Early Years Entitlement funding
9 Month old funding (working parents)
All children over 9 months old of working parents, where both parents are working & earning the equivalent of at least 16 hours each with a cap of £100k per parent, are entitled to 11 hours per week all year round.

2 Year old funding
2 year old children the term after they turn two and if the child is considered to be disadvantaged in some way, the definition is wide so please contact the nursery or visit BANES - Childcare for children aged nine months to four years old
3 and 4-year-old funding
All children are entitled to Early Years Entitlement which commences the term after a child becomes 3 years old. Children are entitled to 11 hours per week all year round.
All children over 3 years old of working parents, where both parents are working & earning the equivalent of at least 16 hours each with a cap of £100k per parent, are entitled to 22 hours per week all year round.

Early Years entitlement hours are funded by the government rate which does not cover snacks, meals or consumables, we charge for these additional items.
